[embedded content] If you’re old enough (like I am) to have witnessed the birth of one-time Sony PlayStation mascot Crash Bandicoot way back in the early ’90s, then you surely remembered the live-action commercials Sony rolled out wherein a man puts on a Crash Bandicoot costume and does all sorts of silly stuff (one of them even has Crash bringing the fight to Nintendo HQ!). Activision seems to have a thing for nostalgia as we get to see Crash workout in a new trailer for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy! Watch a real life Crash Bandicoot workout, which is Activision’s way of saying that Crash is now buff in the new remake (buffed graphics, not a muscled out Crash). In other Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy news, It’s been announced that gamers will be able to play as Crash’s sister Coco in all three games in the collection. Crash Bandicoot N. Now Loading…Should Sony Be Worried of the Xbox One X?

In our first post-E3 2017 Now Loading, we share our thoughts on yet another face-off between Sony and Microsoft’s gaming consoles. Given Microsoft finally announced the price, release date and name of the Xbox One X (formerly known as Project Scorpio), and how it’s definitely more powerful than the PS4 Pro, should Sony worry? While the PS4 has a big lead over the Xbox One in terms of hardware sales, there is the chance that Microsoft can still catch up. I mean, Sony did it last generation with the PS3, and there’s no reason to believe Microsoft can’t do the same. For this week’s Now Loading, the staff weighs in on whether Sony should be worried about the Xbox One X. Now Loading…Should Sony Be Worried of the Xbox One X? Zarmena Khan @Zarmena Yes and no. Like I said before, at this point in the cycle, hardly anyone is going to switch from Sony to MS just for better graphics so the probability of regular READ FULL STORY AT PLAYSTATIONLIFESTYLE!

E3 2017 – Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Gameplay Lets You Be the Top Gun

[embedded content] As part of Sony’s event-long coverage of E3, Bandai Namco takes the spotlight as it features over 10 minutes of Ace Combat 7 gameplay on the PlayStation 4. Prepare to watch bits of the story mode where we can see dialogue appearing on the HUD t give us exposition, as well as distract us from the thing that really matters — killing bad dudes in jets. If there was ever a game made for the PlayStation VR, it’s Ace Combat. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be an ace pilot taking out bogies, doing barrel rolls and zooming past everyone on a jet? Fortunately, that will be a reality with Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. Imagine yourself strapped with your PSVR, taking out jets and have Kenny Loggins’ “Danger Zone” blaring on your audio device of choice. Yeah, I’ll stop with the Top Gun references now. Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown will be flying its way out to the PS4 (with PSVR support), Xbox One and PC sometime in 2018. READ FULL STORY AT PLAYSTATIONLIFESTYLE!

E3 2017 – PS4 Pro Showcase Video Reminds You Who’s the King

[embedded content] Making sure it’s not forgotten amid all the Xbox One X brouhaha, Sony has released an E3 2017 video showcasing the PS4 Pro. While the console has been available since last year, Sony really doesn’t want you to forget that the PS4 Pro can handle graphics much, much better and cleaner than the vanilla PlayStation 4. Of course, stuff like HDR (High Dynamic Range), 4K streaming, 4K upscaling, resolution and more are mentioned. Of course, the biggest draw of the PS4 Pro is also on showcase, which is Sony’s extensive library of exclusives that you can’t play on any platform. Mind, you can play these games on your vanilla PS4, but if you want them at their best, get them on the PS4 Pro. PS4 Pro would-be buyers and current owners, you should check out my recent article on why I don’t quite understand Microsoft and the company’s plans for the Xbox One X. Has Sony done a good job selling the PS4 Pro in the video? What would your focus be? I know I’d lead and end with “games, games, games!!!!” if it was me. READ FULL STORY AT PLAYSTATIONLIFESTYLE!
