Frontwing has announced that the visual novel Grisaia series will continue with a new entry, Grisaia: Phantom Trigger, coming to PC Spring 2017. After teasing the project this week, the visual novel will come in two volumes and follow the “Heath Oslo” incident. Furthermore, anti-terror organization, CIRS, has been rebuilt into a new agency: SORD (Social Ops, Research & Development). The developer details further: The goal of SORD is to train a new generation of operatives to defend the country against future threats. To that end, the organization has established a series of schools up and down the country. Mihama Academy, more-or-less left to rot after its abrupt closure, has been given new purpose as one such ‘specialist training school’. This new incarnation of Mihama Academy is home to a diverse group of students, who every day work to polish their unusual skills – sometimes on the job. Mihama now entrusts the misfit girls who attend it with guns and live ammunition. Paying their own safety no heed, these student are again and again plunged into dangerous extrajudicial missions – all for the good of the realm. Frontwing released a preview of their visual novel Corona Blossom Vol 2: The Truth From Beyond, coming to PC on October 27, the Steam page is up now. The preview shows off the game’s e-mote system where characters can move and react during conversation. This feature is one visual novel fans appreciate more than the alternative, which would be static illustrations. Furthermore, the 18+ version of the game will contain no mosaic censorship. Frontwing announced the release date for their ongoing visual novel, Corona Blossom Vol 2: The Truth From Beyond is set to launch on PC-via Steam on October 27. This will the be the second entry in the visual novel series that finds a mech engineer, Keiji Osaki, in a predicament to find a way home for an adorable girl from space named R-ne. The developer details further: After whiling away much of the summer together, the two of them make a promise: They’re going to return R-ne to her home planet.Their plans are interrupted, though, by another couple of new arrivals to Hanma Town: the headstrong space pirates (or “rare metal hunters”) Lily and Yunie.Will Keiji and his friends ever be able to return R-ne to space?And what will become of the group’s budding romances? The truth always emerges from the place you’d least expect… Additionally, the game can still be pre-ordered for $15 from the developers indiegogo page which gives buyers the +18 patch. Frontwing opened the Steam page for their upcoming visual novel The Melody of Grisaia set to release by the end of 2016. The game was originally released in Japan as a bonus item for those who purchased, From The Future Undying. This is the last and final side story for the developers’ Grisaia series, with the mainline entries be published in the west by Sekai Project. The Re: Sharin no Kuni Project team updated the old KickStarter page for their upcoming campaign to localize Re: Sharin no Kuni in the West. The team revealed the new key art for the game and also a new promotional poster image, with the former being featured above. The publisher writes: After long discussions between the original visual novel developer AKABEi SOFT2 and the translation team from Frontwing, it has been decided that the logo title will feature the Japanese title, with the English translation added as a subtitle, for a simple and authentic design. The new key visuals incorporate the illustration used for the console version of the game previously released in Japan. The promotional poster is free to use for everyone, so we’d love it if you could help post it on social media and in your communities! Additionally, the team states that the new KickStarter page for the project will launch soon. Frontwing launched the Indiegogo campaign for Corona Blossom Vol.2: The Truth From Beyond. Following the events of Corona Blossom Vol. 1, Keiji is continuing his mission to get R-ne home. Furthermore, the game promises “a lot more screen time from fan favorites Kumiko and the space-pirate-catgirl-alien-maid duo of Lily and Yunie”. The reward tiers contain physical and digital goods for fans to chose from. Including a choice of multiple tapestries of the female characters. The FAQ written by Frontwing has a question about further information on the uncensored version of the game, but the company writes, “Details on this coming soon!” In addition to the campaign, Frontwing is allowing fans to purchase individual physical goods by adding them to their selected tiers. Visual Novel developer Frontwing confirmed today that their upcoming game Corona Blossom Vol 2. will not contain the mosaics that pixelated the adult content in Vol 1. This was previously teased on their Twitter through a game of “Guess the Letter” that they played with there followers. It’s good to mention that this announcement is only for Vol 2 and will not affect Vol 1 that is currently available for PC. Japanese developer Frontwing took to Twitter to play a game with their fans concerning the future of their ongoing visual novel Corona Blossom. What started off as a game of guess the missing letters using a poll, the developer tweeted, “You can probably figure it out at this point, but let’s do one more round! N_ M__AI_ __N____I_”. Apparently, the solved puzzle is “No Mosaic Censorship”, which would be a huge plus for the growing number of visual novel fans urging Japanese developers to release their games in West without any form of censorship. The Indiegogo campaign for Corona Blossom Vol. 2 launches on September 13. Vol. 1 is available now for PC.
