[embedded content] YouTube channel NoClip has published the first part of its documentary on the development, fall, resurrection, and success of Final Fantasy XIV. Detroit: Become Human

Detroit Become Human Twitter Throws Shade at Xbox Owners

Oftentimes, it’s either the fans or the executives at Sony or Microsoft that try to throw shade at each other. This time though, it was whoever is handling the Detroit: Become Human Twitter account. The Twitter account of the upcoming PS4 exclusive recently tweeted: When you wake up and #DetroitBecomeHuman is still a PS4 exclusive and you’re still an @Xbox owner. #ThursdayThoughts The tweet obviously throws shade at Xbox owners who won’t be able to play the game on the Microsoft console, unless they also own a PS4. As expected, the tweet was eventually deleted some time later (around three hours later according to Eurogamer). There’s a chance that whoever is handling the account meant to post the tweet on his or her personal Twitter account but ended up publishing it on the Detroit: Become Human account instead. We might never know as we probably won’t get an explanation for the incident. Detroid: Become Human is schedule for release exclusively on the PlayStation 4 sometime in 2018. Trunks Will Be a Playable Character in Dragon Ball FighterZ

The latest issue of Weekly Jump magazine has revealed that Trunks, or more specifically Future Trunks, will be one of the playable characters in Dragon Ball FighterZ. He joins previously showcased playable characters Goku, Vegeta, Gohan (Teen Gohan), Cell, Frieza, and Majin Buu. It’s been previously reported that the game is only 20% complete so it might be safe to guess that at least 20 characters will be featured in the game at its launch. Dragon Ball FighterZ is being developed by Guilty Gear franchise developer Arc System Works on Unreal Engine 4 and is scheduled for release sometime in early 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and other platforms. A closed beta is planned for the console versions of the game sometime during the summer of 2017. [Source: Gematsu] READ FULL STORY AT PLAYSTATIONLIFESTYLE!

Can the Switch really outsell the Wii?

The Nintendo Switch is off to an impressive start, so impressive that many are now wondering if it can beat the Wii, the most successful Nintendo home console of all time.Selling a reported 2.7 million units in one month will surely attract those kinds of comparisons to the Wii, but is it realistic, given today’s gaming marketplace?Nintendo themselves believe the Switch can outsell the Wii, with president Kimishima expecting the console to sell 110 million units sold during its lifetime. And while the Switch is off to a great start, can it sustain that for the next 5-6 years, all while facing stiff competition from Microsoft and Sony (and their upcoming PS5/Xbox Whatever consoles)?Nintendo has overestimated beforeBack when the Wii U was gearing up for launch, Nintendo believed it would have a similar success to the Wii. The company internally expected to sell 100 million Wii U consoles. In the end, they sold less than 13 million. This time around with the Switch, they’re off to a better start than with the Wii U — they’ve doubled production and expect to ship 16 million units by March 2018. Final Fantasy XV Announcements Coming at Gamescom 2017

Square Enix had a pretty busy E3 2017, as they unveiled Life is Strange: Before the Storm and Dissidia Final Fantasy NT. Their biggest release of last year, Final Fantasy XV, also showed up as they announced release dates for the Episode Prompto (June 27) and the game’s Regalia Type-D update.
