New Info on Mass Effect Andromeda’s Multiplayer Horde Mode, Planets and More Revealed

As we get closer to the release of BioWare’s Mass Effect Andromeda, new information and details about the game are starting to surface online. One Reddit user, typherio, recently got a hold of February’s PC Gamer magazine, which includes tidbits of new information on Andromeda‘s planets, Horde Mode, and more. Without further ado, here it is, in typherio’s words: Dodge Roll has been replaced with a dash, useful for getting from cover to cover. This, in conjunction with being able to jump, makes for fast mobile combat. You can aim mid-jump to activate a slow hover that is useful for setting up combos. Renegade/Paragon system has been replaced with a 4-chat option, head, casual, heart and professional, giving choice in the personality of your Ryder. There are apparently different types of planets. One type is a story planet. This planet mainly consists of open exploration and side quests. Planets also have environmental hazards i.e. radiation, too hot and too cold. The Nomad was partially designed and tested by a small team from Need for Speed. And finally in Horde Mode, you pick what class you will play before the start of the match. Mass Effect Andromeda is out on READ FULL STORY…

Resident Evil 7 as Scary as Torture on PSVR

Japanese Review of Resident Evil 7 Reveals Length and Other Grim Details   A report from WWG has given us some fresh details on Resident Evil 7. A recent Famitsu review of the game gives an approximate time to beat of 15 hours. This more or less falls in line with previous entries in the series. Which is good! The Resident Evil franchise is one that benefits from a tight, streamlined playthrough. The review praised the game for its combination of nostalgia and new experiences. While the old Resident Evil adventure vibe is strong, the first-person perspective keeps things sufficiently fresh. So you’re still hunting for clues, keys and ways through rooms but with a modern twist. WWG also discovered how scary Famitsu found the game. Capcom is trying to get back to the horror roots of the series, and this review suggests they’ve succeeded. On its own, the game is “terrifying,” but the PSVR elevates the horror element to new levels. Resident Evil 7 in VR is compared to “being tortured in real life.” We already know how scary VR can be, and this is driving that point home. Horror games make up a genre that thrives on discomfort…

Nintendo Switch to Sell 40 Million Units by 2020 Says Research Firm

Nintendo Switch to Sell 40 Million by 2020?!?! Are You Kidding? Yesterday, we told you about a massive Nintendo Switch tour that is unfortunately only making one Canadian stop. That is okay because we only have weeks to go before the big launch. One thing is for certain, the Switch is going to sell quite well out of the gate. Pre-orders have been selling out everywhere and there is a ton of buzz surrounding its launch. One research firm called DFC Intelligence is forecasting for the Switch to sell 40 million units by 2020. That may seem like a crazy high number but this firm has been accurate in the past with its forecasting. In comparison, the PS4 is Sony’s fastest selling console ever and it’s been out for over three years now. The PS4 is sitting at a little over 50 million units sold. If Nintendo kept that kind of pace by reaching 40 million by 2020 it would be a small miracle but hey anything can happen, right? DFC Intelligence stated that its prediction is on the conservative side, tempered by the failure of the Wii U. Bottom line, the Switch could end up selling better than projected….

Capcom Teases Street Fighter Surprises, Likely Coming at E3 or Comic Con

Capcom is planning a surprise or two for its Street Fighter fans to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary this year. Speaking to IGN, producer Yoshinori Ono hinted at E3 2017 and San Diego Comic Con reveals. Around E3 timing, maybe even San Diego Comic-Con, we have one or two surprises we hope our fans will look forward to. 30th anniversary celebrations have already kicked off with Capcom announcing Ultra Street Fighter 2 for the recently unveiled Nintendo Switch. He also reminded fans that the developer is still updating Street Fighter V, which will get its Season 2 content this year. IGN points out that those who played Dead Rising 4 on the Xbox One found some Rival Schools Easter Eggs, prompting them to ask if we’ll see something pertaining to the classic fighting game. Unfortunately, Ono said, “I’ll let you know that the surprises this year are not going to be Rival Schools.” [Source: IGN] READ FULL STORY AT PLAYSTATIONLIFESTYLE!
