Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment DLC Arrives on April 25 for PS4, PS3 & PS Vita

[embedded content] Yacht Club Games has announced that Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment is releasing on April 25 in North America for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. The European release is “April TBD.” If you already own Shovel Knight or Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, Specter of Torment will be available as a free download. If you don’t own Shovel Knight, PS4 owners will be able to buy Specter of Torment as a standalone game for $9.99 USD. With the first of this week’s eShop updates out, Nintendo has made a minor, but very helpful change to the Nintendo Swtich’s eShop in the form of a “Best Sellers” section (or Charts in some regions).The Best Sellers section lets you see the best selling eShop titles of the past two weeks, complete with prices in clear display. The list includes a selection of 15 titles. Shovel Knight to be Renamed Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, Standalone Campaigns Incoming

Developer Yacht Club Games has announced that big changes are coming Shovel Knight this year, including a name change, price increase, and standalone campaign releases. When Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows launches this spring, it will be accompanied by Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, Shovel Knight: Shovel of Hope, and Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment. As Yacht Club Games explains, Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is what all versions of Shovel Knight will become known as, and you’ll be able to purchase each campaign as a separate, standalone game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch (prices TBA). Also this spring, the price of Shovel Knight will be increasing from its current $14.99 USD (new price TBA). Yacht Club adds, “If you haven’t picked up Shovel Knight yet and want all the content included within Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, buy it now before the price increases this Spring!
