Uncharted 4 Update 1.23 Resets Ranked Season 5 Progress, Begins Ranked Season 6

Following the launch of Ranked Season 5 on April 3, Naughty Dog discovered an issue that prevented some players’ progress from being reset in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. As a result, they’ve decided to start fresh with a new Ranked Season today, and any progress made in Ranked Season 5 will be reset (any Ranked rewards you earned along the way will be retained). Naughty Dog adds: We’re also taking measures to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to earn Ranked Season 5 Cowboy Hats and the season-end Ranked Cabbage Patch taunt. As you advance through ranks in Season 6, you’ll earn our new Ranked Sniper Masks like normal, but at the end of the season, you’ll also receive each Ranked Season 5 Cowboy Hat corresponding to your final rank. Those that reach Gold III or higher will receive the Season 5 Ranked Cabbage Patch taunt AND the Season 6 Ranked Walk It taunt. Lastly, at the end of Ranked Season 6, players will be awarded additional Relics. No rule changes this season but we are considering changing the ranked game mode starting next season. We apologize for the inconvenience and look forward to seeing you online! Here’s what READ FULL STORY…

Naughty Dog Teases Uncharted: The Lost Legacy’s Length, Could Be Over 10 Hours Long

Following Uncharted 4‘s big win at this year’s BAFTA Game Awards, developer Naughty Dog was quizzed by International Business Times about the game’s upcoming standalone expansion, in response to which we were given a hint about its length. The studio’s Director of Communications, Arne Mayer, said while talking about Uncharted: The Lost Legacy‘s transition from mere DLC to a standalone expansion: Years ago, when we were asked if we were ever doing a single player expansion for Uncharted we always said, ‘Well, we don’t have the self-discipline to do that’. If we tried to do that we’d create a full game. There’s no way we could, sort of, constrict and restrain ourselves, and that’s exactly what was happening here. When we were doing story pitches, we were coming up with a game that would be over ten hours long and so we suddenly realized everything we said was true and we couldn’t keep it short. Naughty Dog has said on several occasions that it has no intention to keep The Lost Legacy “short” and that it’s the studio’s “biggest story expansion to date.” It’s safe to assume that we’ll get something north of ten hours at minimum. Naughty Dog Tried to Keep Uncharted: The Lost Legacy “Small” But Decided Against It

As part of its ongoing coverage of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Game Informer spoke to Naughty Dog about its choice of protagonist for the upcoming expansion and the reason behind it being stand-alone. We’re told that with Nathan’s story reaching its conclusion and The Last of Us Part II on the horizon, the team scrapped the idea of another Uncharted title in favor of a stand-alone expansion that could be released within a year. When deciding on a protagonist, Sully came out on top as a strong contender but given his age and the setting Naughty Dog wanted to explore, the writers would have to go back in time for a younger Sully. Apparently, his background as a Marine didn’t fit into the setting either. Nate’s daughter Cassie was also considered but Naughty Dog ultimately settled on Chloe and Nadine. “We had the unique opportunity to do something that was truly stand-alone, unlike Left Behind which was like the missing chunk of the story in The Last of Us,” said writer Josh Scherr says. “We tried to keep it small,” added game director Kurt Margenau. “As we started coming up with story ideas, it just became clear that with new characters and…

10 Best Video Game Dads

One of the most important (and rewarding) things a man can do is be a good father to their children. While it’s a very difficult task, and one that many fail at, there are countless examples of good parenting out there. Father’s Day, which just so happens to be today in many countries (as the holiday originated from St. Joseph’s Day), exists in order to celebrate those good examples, and we’d like to thank all of the hard working parents that visit the site. In order to celebrate Father’s Day in our own way, we decided to take a look at some of the best gaming dads. While I’m not sure parents should be taking parenting tips from these father figures, they are rather entertaining in their own right. Only two rules were in place: A) Since we’re a PlayStation site the video game dads had to appear on a PlayStation console at some point and B) Every character has to be a dad (although that should be pretty obvious). With that out of the way, check out our list below of the 10 best video game dads! We hope you enjoyed our look at the 10 best video game dads. While we only READ…
